Luanda — The Angolan Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, this Wednesday here received a verbal message from the President of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Mohamed Abdelaziz, concerning the state of bilateral ties.
The message was handed over by the Sahrawi Foreign Affairs minister, Ould Salek, who arrived in Luanda this Wednesday for this purpose.
At the end of 30-minute meeting, the diplomat told the press that the message is also of concert due to the historic ties between Angola and the Western Sahara.
"President Mohamed Abdelaziz has great consideration toward his Angolan counterpart, José Eduardo dos Santos, whom he congratulated on the consolidation of the democratic process underway in Angola, among other actions", added the envoy.
Ould Salek also disclosed that aspects associated with the peace process in Western Sahara are also contained in the message that was delivered to the Angolan Statesman.
To him, José Eduardo dos Santos, along with other leaders of the continent can convince Morocco and all its allies on the need to reach an understanding to benefit the Sahrawi people.
"He is a President who knows war and peace (...), he is a man who contributes to his country's stability and he is also an eminent African and international statesman", concluded the diplomat.
