Bauchi — Bauchi State government has cautioned unpatriotic people who are making plans to cause breach of public peace in some parts of the state by using religion as vehicle for achieving their mission.
The warning was issued by the Commissioner for Information, Alhaji Muhammad Abdullahi, in a statement made available to
LEADERSHIP in Bauchi where he said government had observed that some undesirable elements were working hard to create religious disharmony among followers of various religious faiths in the state to create fear in the minds of the citizenry which they think would result in the breakdown of law and order.
"Government observes that the perpetrators behind this dastardly act are uncomfortable with the performance of the present administration in the restoration and building of the state which earned it the World Bank ranking as the most investor friendly state in Nigeria," he said.
He warned that any person, group or associations that intend to cause a breach of peace should desist from such evil agenda as government would deal ruthlessly with anybody found to be engaged in promoting anything capable of disturbing public peace.
