Somalia: Premier Arrives in Capital

20 November 2008

Mogadishu — Somali prime minister Nor Hassan Husein has returned to the Somali capital on Thursday morning, officials said.

The PMs arrival didnt have effects on the streets of the city because the streets between the presidential house and the airport are closed when top government officials leave from the town, like the president.

The plane carrying the premier landed at Aden Adde airport from Nirobi, Kenya after days of rifts between him and the president which caused travel ban and asset freeze threats from IGAD regional body after meeting in Addis Ababa.

The premier is expected to speak to the media about the political situation of the country today.
