Kickoff (Cape Town)

Former Bay United coach Vladislav Heric has opened his heart and complained bitterly after quitting the Premiership rookies yesterday.
The Serbian-born mentor was quoted in The Herald newspaper as saying: "There was no order, no football rules and no ethics by some of the directors, and no coach can work under such conditions.
"Some of them were very negative and one cannot work with people who are not willing to listen.
"They wanted to have an input in choosing the line-up, took charge of training sessions and in the dressing rooms before matches.
"It is really unnecessary to work shoulder-to-shoulder like that.
"So, indirectly I was pushed out, although not forced to (do so). It is really sad for me to leave the club. I love Bay United and want to see them succeed and get to number one. I am very disappointed. I gave it my all and sacrificed so much."
Club spokesman Vuyo Mvoko has denied Heric's allegations.
"The coach was fully in charge. Neither board members, including the technical team, nor management told him what to do."
He said the board had noted the positive aspects in the team's performance but was concerned about various shortcomings.
