Members of the World Cup-winning Golden Eaglets squad will be joined by Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola at the first year memorial of late Under-17 World Cup-winning coach Theophilus Adeyemi Tella on November 30.
Mrs Christiana Modupe Tella, widow of the late coach, expressed the family's appreciation to the Lagos governor and other Nigerians who have stood by the family in the one year since her husband's death.
"We appreciate the prayers showered on us by Nigerians during the trying times and we also want to use this opportunity to thank them for being there for us whenever we knock on their door for assistance.
"We have invited the Lagos State governor, members of the Eaglets team to South Korea, the National Sports Commission, the Nigeria Football Federation board members and they have promised to be present at the. . . event," Mrs Tella, the Lagos State hockey coach, said in a statement.
Tella died last year at the Intensive Care Unit of the Lagos State Teaching Hospital on October 20 after a long battle with cancer.
