WELL, here we are in the last stretch of the reality television show that has entertained us (or not) for the last three months or so.

Now it's time for BBA3 viewers across Africa to choose their winner.

The last three got a special surprise earlier this week.

Phone calls from home.

All three became quite emotional at the sound of their loved ones' voices and perhaps their reactions may help those of you who have not yet made up your minds to do just that.

Ricco was first up, he had absolutely no idea what he was in for and that made his reaction all the more heartwarming.

He got a call from his sister, Selma, whom he affectionately calls Selmie.

He actually started tearing up the minute Biggie told him who was on the line.

It sounds like Ricco comes from a very close-knit, affectionate family.

Selmie told Ricco how proud they all are of him, and Ricco couldn't stop telling her how much he loved and missed her and the rest of the family.

Selma sounds like a really nice sister.

She told Ricco that no matter what happened on Sunday, he was still a winner.

That all 12 housemates were winners! How sweet.

He cried the whole way through the interview.

MUNYA When Ricco left the diary room, Munya could immediately see that something was up.

Ricco's eyes were red and he was sniffing - well, more than usual anyways.

Munya gave his bro a manly hug and then went on in to chat to his dad.

Typical men, their phone call was pretty brief.

Also, Munya kept throwing in some Shona, so I couldn't understand much of what was being said.

The sweetest moment in their conversation was when Munya asked his old man if he could see him while they were chatting and the old man replied with such pride: "Of course, I am looking at your bright, beautiful smile right now!" Then Dad told Munya that he loved him.

A sweet moment too.

Later that evening, Munya sat in the garden and did the most bizarre thing.

Sitting right in front of the camera, he sat in a weird half crying, half laughing, heavy breathing state.

Strange.

I couldn't help getting the feeling that he was trying to play it up for the camera.

His reaction seemed a little contrived.

Like he might have thought that Ricco had cried and that might win him more votes, so he better cry too.

I may be wrong - but that's sure how it seemed to me.

HAZEL Hazel was probably the least outwardly emotional of the three, but you could tell she was deeply moved.

The more I think of it, the more I believe that Hazel really is the epitome of the strong African woman.

She just went about her daily life, keeping things to herself.

She was grace under pressure 24/7 and dance crazy on Saturday nights, She never lost her temper, she never really caused any scenes.

Remember when Thami didn't talk to her for two weeks? That must have been hard but she handled it really well.

She chatted to her Uncle Kennedy and although she didn't cry, you could see that she was visibly moved.

Her voice cracked just a little and she had the biggest grin on her face.

Just goes to show that the stereotype of women being emotional wrecks isn't always true.

The boys proved that they really have the smallest of hearts.

Uncle Ken couldn't stop telling Hazel how much they all missed her around the house.

Especially her cooking! TIME TO CHOOSE So guys and girls - who are you going to vote for as the ultimate winner of BBA3? Ricco, Munya or Hazel? If you're going on who is the nicest person, then Ricco's your man.

Ok, he's not perfect but as far as sweetness, mischief and fun go - Ricco ruled.

He doesn't seem to have a nasty bone in his body.

I don't recall him ever getting angry, being mean or hurtful to anybody.

He loved dancing, flirting and being a prankster.

If you're going according to who will do the most with the money then Hazel's your girl.

She is organised, intelligent and capable.

I have no doubt that if she wins, she will help the most people with the money.

Probably not by giving it away but by starting a business that can employ people and help them to live a better life.

Just think about it, what do you think Ricco and Munya will do with the money? They are young guys who love partying.

My guess is that money will be used up on the beautiful girls of the world, drinks, partying and just generally having a good time.

Nothing wrong with that really.

It depends on what the viewers think are the most important voting criteria.

If you are going according to the person who is the most intelligent, then Munya is your guy.

He certainly used his wits to stay in the game, along with a little luck of course.

First he tried to play the naïve, inexperienced guy with Lucille, after she left he got the chance to go to Finland.

That certainly cocked him up.

The Munya that returned from Finland was definitely not the Munya who left.

He was more cocky and a little more interesting to be honest.

Especially when he hooked up with Tawana.

I really never thought he would take it all the way with her on continental television, but he did and he never looked back.

And now he's in the final, vying for your votes to take home US$100 000.

So there you have it.

Who are you going to vote for? Stay tuned to all the action on Channel 198.

The highlights package is on Channel 102 at 20h00 every night and the grand finale is at 19h00 on Sunday.
