Somalia: Father of Country's Sport Dies in Cairo

Mogadishu — Somalia is mourning the sudden death in Cairo On Wednesday night of Farah wehelye Addoe (Sindik who is revered as the Father of Somali Sport.

The Somali Sports Press Association described the death of Mr Sindiko as very sad news, particularly for administrators and fans of Somali sports.

We feel very sorry for the loss of our beloved father, said Somalias current football president Said Mogambe at a mourning ceremony at Jeddah hotel in Mogadishu.

As one of Somalias most well known businessmen, Sindiko invested heavily in sports development as one of the participants of his mourning ceremony have been covered in tears on their eyes as lament of Mr.Sindikos death.

I do not know if I can sleep next days, because I still remember the good habits of our father, said Aweys Orofeyo and he added that late Sindiko will always be in the minds of the Somali people.

Somali football federation said that Somali expatriates will organize mourning book to mark the death of Somalias beloved father of sport.
