Kampala — THE New Vision's business reporter has won a statistics award, writes Wilfred Sanya.
Ibrahim Kasita emerged the best journalist in the print media for consistently and accurately integrating statistics into his stories.
Kasita won the African Statistics Day Media Award from the Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS).
The awards were given out during the launch of the 2008/09 agriculture census and celebrations to mark the Africa Statistics Day in Kyanamukaka, Masaka district on Tuesday.
The Speaker of Parliament, Edward Ssekandi, handed over certificates to the winners. He commended the media for disseminating statistical information to the public.
