Ghana: Amoah Plays Down England Link

21 November 2008

Ghana forward Matthew Amoah says reports linking him with a move to the English Premier League is pure media speculation and insist he will out his contract at NAC Breda.

The Black Stars forward has scored eleven league goals triggering reports that the likes of Everton and Middlesbrough are keeping an eye on him.

Amoah does not think a move to the premiership is on the cards anytime soon and says the links to those clubs are purely media speculation.

"I don't know about offers from those clubs," he told KickOffGhana.com.

"I also read it in the newspapers and on the Internet. I don't know much about it and my agent has not told me anything so I really don't know.

"I am now playing for NAC Breda with whom I have another year after this season so I will see it out and see what happens."

Amoah may be focused on NAC Breda now but he still dreams of playing in England one day.

"It's my dream to play in England but you know in football anything can happen," he says, "I can go to France, Spain or Italy."
