Kampala — GOSPEL artiste Justine Kabuuka has released her first album, Wankuba Repair. Kabuuka who is based at Exodus Christian Church, Nakulabye, wrote the six tracks, which have gained popularity among born-again Christians.
The songs tackle real life issues.
By singing about her life characterised by poverty and suffering, Kabuka says misery can come to an end if one stays committed to Jesus, the saviour.
Kabuuka's praise and worship lyrics also make her songs more appealing to young Christians who love to dance to energetic grooves.
The title song, Wankuba Repair, narrates the physical, financial and moral misery she has gone through.
The dancehall track is enjoying immense popularity on local Christian FM stations.
Her song, Onnyambye Yesu (you have helped me Jesus), expresses gratitude for God's providence and care.
Her other songs include Only You, Thank you for loving me and Njagala Mmanye (I want to know).
Recorded at Dream Studios, the album was launched last Sunday at Exodus Christian Church, Nakulabye.
