Luanda — The Angolan national senior males football team drew by nil-nil, against Venezuela, at the dawn of this Thursday, in a friendly match held in that South American country, in Barinas' La Carolina stadium.
The game, which was disputed under the rain, served as preparation for Venezuela, having into account the qualifying campaign for the world cup to be hosted by South Africa in 2010, while the Angolan squad profited from the last friendly match of this year, under FIFA's
schedule, to project the African Cup of Nation, to be hosted by Angola in 2010.
The Angolan defender Marco Airosa was expelled in the extra time, after getting two yellow cards.
The "Palancas Negras" (Sable Antelopes) did not count on the participation of some of the squad's influent players, namely Zé Kalanga of Romania's Dínamo of Bucareste, due to an injury, as well as Flávio and Gilberto, playing for Al Ahly of Egypt.
