Luanda — Angolan people's optimism about the country's future and development impressed the Portuguese ambassador to France, António Monteiro, who was in the country for a two-day visit.
The diplomat who was speaking to Angop at Luanda's "4 de Fevereiro" International Airport, short before leaving Luanda, said that what impressed him most is the optimism people show.
According to him, he noted that people are willing to work as they are optimistic about the future.
António Monteiro who came to Angola at an invitation of the embassy of his country to Angola and the "Banco Privado Atlântico" (BPA), addressed a talk on "The Portuguese Speaking Countries Community (CPLP) in the international context", held Tuesday in Luanda.
He also witnessed the launch of a social responsibility project under BPA for the construction of 12 professional training centres in Angola, three of which based in Luanda.
António Monteiro was the head of Portugal's diplomatic mission and representative to the Joint Politico-military Commission for the Angolan peace process in the 1990's.
