Nigeria: Azogu Retains CBN Governor's Cup Golf Crown

Abuja — Tony Azogu and Uloma Mbuko have emerged winners in the men and women's categories of this year's Central Bank of Nigeria Governor's Cup amateur golf tournament at the IBB Golf Club.

Okey Igwe, a handicap 22 recorded 143 to trail behind and Ru Chang, a handicap 20 was second with 146 nett while Paul Kyri, a handicap 23 recorded 147 nett to finish in the fourth position.

Umoru Jimada fired 284 metres to win the men's longest drive title.

In the ladies nearest to the pin, Halima Wada recorded 5.1 ft to clinch the crown.The champion, Azogu featuring as a handicap six posted 67 on the first day of the two-day tournament and recorded 75 the second day to chalk up 142 nett; the same scoreline he performed to win the maiden edition last year.
