Rwanda: Ex-Justice Minister's Verdict On 19 January

The verdict in the trial of the former Minister of Justice, Agnes Ntamabyariro, will be rendered on 19 January by the Court of First Instance of Nyarugenge, Kigali, Judge Jocelyne Ninahazwa, announced Thursday.

"I declare today the proceedings closed. Taking into account the judicial holidays scheduled for December, the verdict will be rendered on Monday 19 January", stated Mrs. Ninahazwa.

On Tuesday, the prosecutor Emmanuel Nsengiyumva had requested life imprisonment in isolation against former minister and her co-defendant, former prosecutor Jean-Leonard Hategekimana.

Mrs. Ntamabyariro had the time to claim her innocence one more time and to ask for her acquittal.

It was only on Thursday that Hategekimana's defence had the opportunity to present its closing arguments.

The former minister is accused of planning the genocide, meetings of planning and organization of the genocide in Nyanza ,southern Rwanda and Kibuye western Rwanda, campaigns of weapons distribution, the assassination of Jean Baptiste Habyarimana, the then Governor of Butare ,southern Rwanda.

She would have also played a role, according to the prosecutor, in the murder of a Tutsi godson of her husband.

Hategekimana is also prosecuted for his alleged responsibility in the assassination of Governor Habyarimana.

Arrested in Zambia in 1997, Mrs. Ntamabyariro is the only member of the interim government to be tried in Rwanda. Her trial began on 19 June, 2006.

There is no justice in Rwanda friends, all these are the works of the dark hand of Kagame who want to be the only Master in charge and control.the day the leader of the FPR will be taken to court for his participation in genocide and his troops grounding Habyarimana,s plane, then the groung will be even for justice in Rwanda. But Mr Kagame should remember,Mobutu, Kamuzu Banda, what goes up will come down not matter how long it takes. shalom.

In my opinion, Kagame is stupid and unwise ... he doesn't understand the meaning of Life. if he can use his brain proper he supose to learn from South Africa where White AFrican killed Black African but they now live together by putting pass behind and build their country.(power of forgiveness)..on top, I live in UK as a BRITISH CITIZEN, I see Europian unity, solid, strong because of the love of their continent ...stupid, stupid, stupid kagame he has blood on his hand, look and watch the vapire killing in Congo whare 5.4 millions of inocent people they passed away because of Kagama and monster Kunda. God (JESUS) will judge them one day unless they repant. GENESIS 4:11

A good thing is unfolding here.In addition to the Court of World Justice Individual countries are beginning to indite ,extradite and prosecute, third worl leaders who havw mis governed. These are leaders who have either usurped power or have been elected usually by stealth and promptly cause their own people to become the victums of a reign of terror.I hope that this type of legal prosecutions expand and grow
