Luanda — The experts from member countries of the Gulf of Guinea Commission, Friday in Luanda, adopted a Plan of Action to submit to the organisation's Council of Ministers scheduled to take place on November 24, in the Angolan capital.
according to the director for Africa and Middle East of the Angolan Foreign Ministry, Nelson Cosme, who released the information to Angop, the experts also adopted the orgnanistion's budget.
Nelson Cosme also informed that the participants are analysing the Audit Report on the preceding period.
The official who is also the head of the Angolan delegation to the meeting said the session is also analysing the institution's organogram, financial regultions, procedures regulations and internal regulations.
He informed as well that the meeting is to analyse issues concerning the sub-region having to do with political instability, the situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo and the impact of the world financial crisis and the drop in the oil price on the national economies.
According to the official, with the conclusion of the works, the points mentioned above will be submitted to the organisation's secretariat for the drafting of the final report, on Saturday, ahead of the Council of Ministers of the organisation.
With its Executive Secretariat based in Luanda, the Gulf of Guinea Commission was established in 1999 and groups Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria, São Tomé and Príncipe, Gabon, Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea.
The Commission is an organ for concert among the Gulf of Guinea countries for cooperation and development, prevention of border-related conflicts, economic and commercial matters and exploration of natural resources.
It is the organisation's task to reinforce cooperation and solidarity among member states, create mutual trust, peace and security required for their harmonious development.
