Uganda: Kabarole District Fails to Pay Rent

Kampala — KABAROLE district local government has been ordered to vacate the Tooro Kingdom offices at Mucwa over failure to pay rent arrears.

The district occupies the first and second floors of the building.

In a letter to the Chief Administrative Officer, kingdom prime minister William Nyakatura instructed the district to pay the rent arrears and vacate by beginning of December.

District chairperson Michael Mugisa said they owe the kingdom over sh12m in rent arrears.
