Luanda — The director of the Angolan Institute of Cinema, Audiovisual and Multimedia (IACAM), Miguel Horst, assured this Friday in Luanda, that all logistical conditions are created for the beginning on Saturday of the Luanda International Film Festival (FICLuanda).
According to the official, who was speaking to Angop about the event, all efforts have been made for it to go without any constraints and purposed goals achieved.
The start of the festival, scheduled for 5:00 PM, will include the screening of the Brazilian movie "Tropa de Elite", at "Cine Atlantico", in Luanda.
The FICLuanda programme, to go from November 22-29, in Luanda, comprises 10 short films, seven features and equal number of documentaries.
The programme also includes, among the film session, the movies "Tropa de Elite", a Brazilian production, "4 de Copas" (Portugal) and "Zimbabwe" (South Africa).
In addition to the movies, the festival will include other activities such as talks and exhibition of works related to the Angolan cinema.
The festival intends essentially to promote the public screening of movies from all over the world, aiming at an incentive to the involvement and education of various publics and induce creativity regarding cinema and audiovisual.
