Luanda — The National Assembly (Angolan Parliament)'s 6th Commission Friday in Luanda recognised the Government's effort towards modernising the Social Communication organs.
This was expressed by the chairman of the organ, Paulo Pombolo, at the end of a meeting the Commission had the Social Communication Ministry, Manuel Rebelais, as part of the specialised evaluation of the share of the State Budget and the National Plan for 2009, allocated to the ministry.
During the meeting, the MP mentioned the positive effort made in the last term of the ministry, towards the modernisation of the sector and make it wider, plural and impartial.
MP Nuno Albino Carnaval told journalists that the Commission realised the need for effort to regulate the Press Law, with a view to the clarification of the sector's legal framework.
He urged the Government to continue with its effort to expand the radio and television signals to the whole national territory and Angola Press Agency (Angop) correspondents network.
The 6th Commission of the National Assembly deals with matters associated with Education, Science and Technology, Culture, Youth and Sports, Religious Matters and Media.
