Nigeria: AGF Applauds London Ruling on Ibori

Abuja — The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Michael Aondoaaka yesterday described Monday's London court ruling which rejected the evidence brought before it by the Economic and Financial Crimes Comm-ission (EFCC) against former governor of Delta State, James Ibori, as a vindication of the rule of law as espoused by President Umaru Yar'Adua.

The London Court had last Monday dismissed the evidence brought by the EFCC contending that it did not come to it through the Nigerian Attorney General and Minister of Justice, as provided for in the bilateral legal assistance treaty between Nigeria and Britain.
