Luanda — The deputy governor of Luanda, Bento Soito, on Saturday here highlighted the efforts of teachers based on the training of human resources towards the country's development.
According to the official, who was speaking during the provincial event of the Teacher's Day, marked on Saturday (November 22), teachers have the responsibility to train people who will work in the country's national reconstruction process.
He stated that the government has already started an education reform process that demands changes in the teaching methods and should be reflected in the upgrading of students.
"This is a victorious day because the deeds achieved with peace, in the national reconciliation and in the recovery of infrastructures are reflected in the participation of everyone who plays the role of educator because it is the bases that supports the training of man", he stressed.
On his turn, the municipal administrator of Viana, José Moreno, praised every pupil for their effort in proceeding with the education of children and adults along all these years.
The Teacher's Day was commemorated for the first time on November 22, 1977.
