Lisbon — The Angolan Football Federation (FAF) has pledged to notify FIFA for the absence of the player Zé Calanga from the Angolan national squad last Wednesday, in Barinas City, for the friendly match against Venezuela.
A source from FAF has told ANGOP at Lisbon's Portela airport, before the team left for Venezuela, that Zé Kalanga, who plays for the Romanian Dynamo of Bucharest, was injured.
Meanwhile, the caretaker coach Mabi de Almeida, in answering a question from a Venezuelan state television journalist, at a press conference held in the end of the Angola-Venezuela game, said that the player was not authorised by his club to join the national team.
"Though the match was under FIFA's schedule, the player once more was not released to represent his country in this very important match", he stressed.
