Benguela — The governor of the central Benguela Province, Armando da Cruz Neto, works this Monday in Baia Farta District, 27 kilometres south of Benguela City, in the framework of his visit programme to the nine municipalities of this province, which started last
week.
According to the programme which reached ANGOP, Armando da Cruz Neto will assess the socio-economic reality of Baia Farta localities.
Baia Farta District has a population estimated at 125,000 inhabitants. It is rich in terms fish, salt production and farming activity.
At the level of the country, Baia Farta Municipality occupies the second position in fishing and salt production, after Tômbwa District in the south-west Namibe Province.
