Dar es Salaam — One of Tanzania's leading commercial banks, the National Microfinance Bank (NMB) has launched Phase III sports gear distribution project campaign.

The project campaign was launched at the Gymkhana Grounds in Dar es Salaam. The Ball Project III intends to benefit around 1,000 schools all over Tanzania.

NMB Chief Commercial Officer, Bas Nierop said the talents Tanzania has seen today is a testimony that Tanzania has a lot of footballers who need guidance and support. NMB is one of the major sponsors of the Tanzania national football team, Taifa Stars. "NMB's support will go a long way to make more children excited to play soccer," he said.

He noted that Tanzania soccer development will never prosper to great heights if there is no sustainable youth soccer development.

"Over the years, we saw great football countries falling because they gave their back on youth soccer.

NMB believes in tomorrow, from our business strategies to soccer sponsorship, the future holds a very important position," he said.
