Owerri — Imo State government has expressed satisfaction with what it termed "the cordial working relationship between Nigeria and the government and people of Ghana.The State Deputy Governor, Dr. Ada Okwuonu, stated this while playing host on behalf of the state Governor, Chief Ikedi Ohakim, to the Ghanaian High Commissioner in Nigeria, Mr. George Kumi, when he called at the Government House, Owerri.
"It is interesting to note that most of the Nigerians living in Ghana are moving freely in that country, while most of the financial institutions in Nigeria are opening their branches in Ghana as a demonstration of brotherliness", Okwuonu said.
She commended the Ghanaian High Commissioner for recognizing the landmark achievements of the state government within the short period of time of its existence.
