VANGUARD gathered that the kidnappers are demanding a seven million naira ransom to enable the release of the woman.
But the State Police Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Charles Muka, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), yesterday described the alleged kidnap as an inside job.
According to him "we are investigating that case and we suspect in-house conspiracy aimed at getting money from the children of the woman outside the country.
Our reporter gathered that the abductors had already established contacts with one of his children living in London, demanding the payment of the ransom.
The woman was said to have been abducted since on the 24th of September this year but was concealed until yesterday. Although the PPRO kept mute over whether some persons have been arrested but our reporter reliably gathered that few people were picked but later released.
As at the time of this report the woman is yet to be released and was said to be kept in a hideout somewhere in Benin City, Edo state.
