Tunis — Abu Dhabi Investment House (ADIH), will soon launch a new project in Tunisia dubbed "Porta Moda".
The project, a polyvalent venture which includes residential units, hotels, fashion and furniture retail stores, fashion academies, and entertainment and education facilities, will notably focus on style and design.
The announcement was made on Sunday, in Marrakech, by the company's Managing Director, Mr Rashed Youssef Jenahi.
In the wake of the launch of ADIH's project in Marrakech, the first in North Africa, the firm is planning to set up another major project in Tunisia, he said.
In the words of Mr Jenahi, this new project which has been submitted to Tunisian authorities for approval, as well as the availability a land parcel in the capital, will call upon the great world names in design, fashion, and jewellery to advise and train specialists in these sectors.
"Porta Moda" will not only offer job opportunities, but also create hubs for fashion, style and high- end living in Tunis.
ADIH is planning to launch the "Porta Moda" project in Tunisia, Qatar, the Emirates and India. The overall investment for the project is estimated at 7 billion dollars.
