Abuja — Indications are rife that the communications giant, Globacom has registered its displeasure with the Nigeria Football Federation over the latter's recent alleged romance with another communications outfit.
Glo's top officials that included its marketing director, Okon Iyanam as well as Omodele Sharafat_Yussuf and Harry Iwuala were spotted at the NFF Secretariat yesterday where they engaged the football authority in a marathon meeting.
No one among the Glo officials would bare their minds on their mission, but a dependable source hinted that the meeting was not unconnected with the football authority's recent alleged romance with a new communications outfit, Etisalat.
The source hinted that the Glo officials were bitter that the NFF is entering into an agreement with a rival communication company after it had signed and sealed a pact with the football house as their official sponsor.
According to the source, yesterday's meeting was inconclusive owing to certain documents that were not immediately available to substantiate the claims being made by both parties.
Though the source did not disclose when another meeting would be convened, it was however learnt that the Glo officials have vowed to take the matter to the highest level to ensure no other communications firm flouts the contract.
