Angola: President Offers Dinner to Guinea Gulf Summit Participants

Luanda — The Angolan Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, offered last Monday a dinner to the Heads of State and delegations that will attend the Gulf of Guinea Commission Summit, which will be held in Luanda's Talatona Convention Centre.

The Gulf of Guinea Commission Summit of Heads of State will happen this Tuesday in the Angolan capital city.

The dinner was attended by the presidents of Sao Tomé and Príncipe, Fradique de Menezes, Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Obiang Nguema, Gabon, Omar Bongo, Nigeria's vice-president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and other heads of delegation of countries belonging to the Gulf of Guinea.

During the activity, it was observed a music-cultural show, in which the Angolan Movimento Band performed songs in Portuguese, French and English to welcome the participants.

Participants could listen to other Angolan music rhythms, such as that of Gabriel Tchiema and Samangwana, who also sang some of Africa's reference songs.

The music show ended with the performance of the Angolan singer Mito Gaspar.

The event was also attended by the speaker of the Angolan National Assembly, Fernando da

Piedade Dias dos Santos, the Prime Minister, Paulo Kassoma, government official and members of the diplomatic body.
