South Africa/Swaziland: Fish Says There's Talent in Swaziland

26 November 2008

Former Bafana Bafana defender Mark Fish, who is currently on a charity drive in Swaziland, tells KickOff.com that he is impressed with the talent displayed by local youngsters.

Fish, who is being accompanied by South African cricketing hero Shaun Pollock in the drive that is being sponsored by Southern Sun International, believes that from what he has seen, Swaziland has the potential to progress on the continental scene provided they put focus on development.

Fish was talking to KickOff.com after participating in a game involving high school players.

"There were players from different age groups in yesterday's match, but you could see that the players are talented and committed. Now what you need is for the Swaziland government and the football association to follow up with development structures if the country is to produce top players,"

Fish and Pollock presented the participating teams with sets of soccer kit after the game.
