Luanda — The Angolan Health minister, José Van-Dúnem, Tuesday in Luanda said that one of the government's goals is the global access to the HIV/AIDS treatment.
José Van Dúnem said this after the inauguration, by the Angolan first Lady, of the Laboratory of Molecular Biology of National Institute for Combat against AIDS. To him, the access to the treatment depends on good capacity of laboratory.
"This laboratory is within dynamic of the Government and is aimed at improving the treatment conditions of citizens. It allows the measuring of viral-load with greater efficiency, which constitutes a diagnostic test that proves much important for prognosis of the patients expecting treatment", said the minister.
The recently inaugurated room will enable the dosing of viral load to the patients undergoing HIV/AIDS treatment with anti-retroviral over six months and other with clinic and immunologic resistance.
To him, the combat against HIV/AIDS has been reaching positive results, underlining
responsibility of each citizen.
