Tunis — Once again, Ennajma Ezzahra perched on the magic hill of Sidi Bou Said will resonate with the melodious sound of great music.
Under the magic fingers of Finnish piano virtuoso, Laura Mikkola, the partitions of Sibelius, Bartok, Ravel, Prokofiev Lindbergh and other masters, will take on another dimension.
The talented Finnish piano player whose rich career and repertoire have earned her several international distinctions such as the second Prize and the Prize of the public at the prestigious Queen Elizabeth Competition as well as first Prize at the Unisa Transnet Competition in Pretoria, South Africa, will give a unique performance on Wednesday evening at Ennajma Ezzahra.
Laura Mikkola has also played as a soloist in prestigious orchestras such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, the Symphonic Orchestra of Radio Helsinki, and the Marinsky Saint Petersburg Theatre Orchestra.
The event, which is jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture and Heritage Preservation and the Finnish Embassy in Tunis, will no doubt attract many classical music lovers.
