THE President of the Nigeria Society of Engineers, Kashim Abdul Ali, has lamented the inability of the government to consider their advice in spite of their advices on sensitive issues.
Kashim stated this while addressing a press conference in Bauchi.
According to him, from every indication, it is true that stakeholders and those in government have not utilized their services.
He said "There is no way the nation can develop without utilizing indigenous techno-logy. It's unfortunate that, most often, Nigerians prefer to utilize the skills of outsiders before looking inward and, with this, there is no way we can advance to the next stage".
Kashim enjoined government to emulate the attitude of other nations where they entrust the engineering services to their indigenes rather than seeking foreign skills outside.
