Luanda — Angola's national team of football will play Equatorial Guinea in January next year, in a match of preparation for the African Cup of Nations, scheduled for 2010 in the country.
This was announced Wednesday in Luanda by the chairman of Angolan Football Federation (FAF), Justino Fernandes, at a press conference that also served to announce the new national technical team, headed by former assistant coach, Mabi de Almeida.
The official said that as part of their preparation, the National team will hold ten matches ahead of the CAN2010 in Angola.
Justino Fernandes mentioned that under the programme of national team's preparation for the African competition, the FIFA agent for Angola, Lucidio Ribeiro, from Portugal, is expected in December this year in the country.
To the FAF chairman, the coming of the FIFA official is relevant as, with the elimination of the national team from the World Cup of 2010, in South Africa, Angola is relying on friendly matches for preparation for the CAN.
