Kickoff (Cape Town)
28 November 2008
The Malawi Under-20 national team have solved their financial crisis and begun their journey to Kimberley to participate in the Metropolitan Cosafa Youth Championship at the weekend.
KickOff.com reported earlier that the Malawi Football Association asked for funds from government to enable them to undertake the trip.
The Cosafa tournament organizer, Jabulani Mbanjani, told KickOff.com today that he had been informed that the Malawians were on their way to link up with the other contestants ahead of the kick off on Friday.
Malawi is Group C of the Cosafa tournament, together with Botswana, Zimbabwe and Mauritius.
The winners of this group meet winners in Group A where South Africa is with Zambia, Lesotho and Seychelles.
