Embatkala — Sub-zonal Administrators, branch heads of ministries and other staff members of the Anseba and Northern Red Sea regional administrations who have been following training in the Eritrean National Center of Institutional Competence graduated today.
The Manager of the Center, Mr. Beyene Haile, stated that it is the expectation of the people and the Government that the trainees would introduce modern and efficient managerial principles and tasks, and thereby upgrade the institutional competence of their respective institutions.
The director general of social service department in the Northern Red Sea Administration, Mr. Tesfai Tekle, stressed the significance of such training courses in upgrading work performance and achieving the set goals. He further pointed out that the respective regions have mapped out action program for the year 2009, in addition to drawing up a 5-year action plan.
Also speaking on the occasion, the Administrator of the Northern Red Sea region, Ms. Tsigereda Woldegergish, underlined the significance of the training in identifying the weak and strong aspects of work performance, and thereby rendering efficient service to the public. She also explained that strengthening institutional capacity is the driving force for efficient service and the progress of development programs.
It is to be recalled that similar training was earlier offered to sub-zonal administrators, branch heads of ministries and other staff members of the Southern and Gash-Barka regional administrations.
The Eritrean National Center Institutional Competence gives various educational courses to ensure institutional competence, and thereby render efficient service to the public.
