Kickoff (Cape Town)
28 November 2008
Professor Ngubane has resigned as coach of Vodacom League side Sobantu Shooting Stars.
This was confirmed by one of Stars' directors, Jabulani Radebe, just a few days after his team was thrashed by African Wanderers.
Ngubane was roped in two months ago after being in limbo following the acrimonious separation from First Division side Nathi Lions, whom he led to the Nedbank Cup quarterfinals last season.
Despite boasting a number of former PSL players, the Pietermaritzburg side has huffed and puffed, resulting in them sitting in the top four on the log.
This is despite the club having experienced players that include Shoes Ledimo, formerly with Golden Arrows, Andile Cele (AmaZulu, Arrows and Orlando Pirates) and Piwe Sgwili (Benoni Premier United and AmaZulu).
