Nigeria: Hollywood Star Endorses Anabel Mobile

Lagos — Latest entrant into Nigeria's telecoms market, Ms Anabel Mobile, has received a major boost from the United States, as Ms Meagan Good, acclaimed Hollywood actress and international fashion icon, has endorsed Anabel's range of professional digital assistant devices and smart phones.

Good, regarded as one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood, has agreed to serve as Anabel Group Inc's international Brand Ambassador over the next two years.

During that time she will also serve as the international spokesperson for Anabel Mobile Limited, the subsidiary of Anabel Group, focused on design and manufacturing of digital hand-held devices and telecommunications content provider for African consumers.

Good is currently one of Hollywood's most sought-after young actresses, staring most recently in the next installment in the horror franchise "SAW (V)" and appearing in the thriller "The Unborn" opposite Odette Yustman.

Good was recently in the comedy "Love Guru" with Mike Myers and Justin Timberlake, Screen Gem's box office hit "Stomp the Yard" opposite Columbus Short, Ne-Yo and Brian White. Good played the lead female role in "Waist Deep" opposite Tyrese Gibson for Universal/Focus features.

Good is also renowned for producing exceptional work on the independent circuit Movie industry using her talent and production skills. One of such projects in which she was executive producer opposite actor/director Ty Hodges; "Miles from Home", premiered at the Pan African Film & Arts Festival, the Washington DC Independent Film Festival and the Atlanta Film Festival in which it swept all the awards - best feature, best actor & actress (Meagan Good) and best director in an independent feature.

Anabel executives are said to be excited about working with Good as Anabel products are portrayed as being the most stylish, beautiful and fashion savvy smart phones on offer in Africa.

The company said in a statement: "The Africa-wide campaign with Good will clearly demonstrate Anabel's connection to the best of beauty and style the world has to offer. Anabel Mobile has distinguished itself in the Mobile manufacturing space by working closely with the International Entertainment industry.

"In addition to working with movie professionals, Anabel is expected to release an exciting new theme song and music video to the world to boost the Nigerian music industry. This production will be as a result of its collaboration with Storm Records which was announced recently."

Anabel Mobile which makes smart phones and caters to professionals and small businesses is extending its demographic to the younger population with this action. The Hip-Hop track is expected to be a dance theme and will focus on bringing together a whole new generation within Nigeria and Africa to embrace legitimate business opportunities and to see the entertainment industry as an emerging industry in Africa.

Anabel is promoted in Nigeria by a team of young professionals with Nicholas Okoye, former Group Executive Director of Transcorp Plc, as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Anabel.

A major launch of the company's products is planned for December 12 at the Lagos Civic Centre, with Good expected to be in attendance.
