Asmara — Over 8,000 students graduated this year in Masters, degree and diploma from various institutions of higher learning in the country.
Accordingly, a total of 2,238 nationals completed diploma and degree courses in the Eritrea Institute of Technology - Mai-Nefhi, Hamelmalo College of Agriculture, College of Science and Marine Technology, College of Arts and Social Science, College of Health Technology, and College of Business and Economics. In addition, over 5,800 students graduated in diploma and certificate from a number of vocational training centers and technical schools.
Meanwhile, more than 10,000 students are following diploma and degree courses in all the colleges of the country in the 2007/2008 academic year.
Reports indicated that in line with vigorous endeavors being made to develop human resource capacity, 7 new higher institutions of learning have opened across the country and that the number of vocational training centers and technical schools has expanded.
