Uganda: Government to Build Drug Control Laboratory

29 November 2008

Kampala — THE Government is to build a modern complex to house both the National Drug Authority (NDA) headquarters and a drug quality control laboratory, the health general duties state minister has said.

Dr. Richard Nduhura was officiating at the NDA 15th anniversary celebrations recently.

"This will be in line with fulfillment of the Millennium Development Goal of providing safe and quality medicines to Ugandans," Nduhura said.

The National Drug Authority is a semi-autonomous government agency that was established to regulate drug manufacture and importation.
