Nigeria: Delta SEC Okays Journalists' Exco

IN a bid to steer up a strong and a virile union that will accommodate all journalists in Delta State, the Delta State Executive Council, (SEC) has recognized the present executive, led by Comrade Osita Biose.

In a six-point communiqué issued at the end of the meeting of the Delta State Executive Council, (SEC) of the Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ) held at the NUJ Press Centre, Asaba, it was resolved that the SEC would work with the executive for the progress of the union in the state.

The state executive has also called on all aggrieved members of the union to shelve their differences and embrace peace for the good of the union and the internal auditor should conduct audit of the account of the immediate past executive and submit its findings to the SEC in the next 21 days.

It was also resolved that the SWC should arrange a party/get together for all journalists in the state as well as pay a courtesy visit to the Commissioner for Information to acquaint him with the development.
