Nigeria: Jigawa Lawmakers Pass Vote of Confidence On LG Chiefs

The Deputy Majority Leader of the 30-man Assembly, Alhaji Yahaya Muhammad, told newsmen in Kano that on the spot assessment conducted by Assembly indicated that they have effectively provided the dividends of democracy to the grassroot.

Yahaya Muhammad stated that the Assembly members have gone round to see for themselves developmental projects executed by the chairmen, adding that they are satisfied with their high level performance

"We have been to the field, and what we saw on ground in terms of development convinced us that they effectively play their role, and by so doing have complemented the effort of the state government by providing dividend of democracy to the grassroot", the Deputy Majority Leader explained.
