Lagos — The multi-million Naira Green Oak Park estate located on the Mowe-Ofada axis, barring any unforeseen circumstances, is expected to be completed in 18 months time, going by the words of the developers, Cross and Churchill Realtors Limited.
Managing Director of the company, Mr.Taiwo Ogunbodede, dropped the hint in an interactive session with media executives during a ceremony held at Mowe.
According to him, the estate, which would be done in two phases, sits on a 215-acre site. He noted that it would be a model for other developers who may want to build along that axis. He was quick to add that the estate is going to be 'another best-in-class deal in real estate acquisition'.
He said that the estate would be a mixture of residential plots, commercial plots, green areas,receation,religious centre just to name a few. He added that the company intends to make the estate a premium estate and a masterpiece for others to "copy".
Ogunbodede pointed out that the first 30 acres would be set aside for residential units of blocks of flats, while the remainder would be used as serviced plots.
He stressed that the company has a prototype it would insists that subscribers to the estate follow in order to give the estate a good ambience.
Ogunbodede said that the Green Oak Park estate has so many outstanding features which make it a place to be for those who are desirous of living in a serene and beautiful atmosphere.
These unique features he pointed out include: properly laid- out plots, gated and secured community, estate perimeter fencing, properly planned streets and earth road networks, prototype building designs, provision of borehole, provision of transformer, easy access to major highways e.g. Lagos-Ibadan,Sagamu-Ore to mention just a few.
According to Ogunbodede, a plot in the state sells for N700, 000.00k (survey fee inclusive), noting that all the plots are serviced.
He pointed out, that the payment terms include a 30 percent deposit of sales price immediately and the spread of the balance within nine months, adding that all cheques/drafts should be issued in favour of Cross and Churchill Realtors Limited.
The realtor said that the title to the land in the estate is Global Certificate of Occupancy.
Some of the subscribers who spoke with Daily Independent, Mr.Olusegun Akinsanya expressed satisfaction for being on of the early subscribers to the project.
According to him, the location of the estate is ideal, adding that the proximity to the highway was one advantage that endeared him to buying into the project.
He said that the project was a viable one pointing out, that for now, the whole place might seem unattractive but very soon, it would be the place to beat.
Another subscriber, Mr.Toyin Faborode said that the cost of accessing the units was affordable. He was however quick to add, that the asking price could be reduced a bit if only to allow for more subscribers.
