The speaker of National Assembly (Angolan Parliament), Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, Monday in Kampala, Uganda, received a parliamentary delegation of the Equatorial Guinea, with whom he discussed the bilateral cooperation.
Headed by the deputy speaker of the Central African country's Parliament, MP Lucas Nguema Esono, the delegation, that attended the 31st conference of the African Parliamentary
Union (APU), expressed the wish of both Parliaments to give continuity to the line of the existing cooperation.
"The Parliaments of Angola and Equatorial Guinea have signed accords and protocols of understanding, that is why we expressed to the newly elected speaker of Angola Parliament, our availability to continue with the parliamentary collaboration line, in benefit of our two peoples", stressed Nguema Esono.
Equatorial Guinea will host the 33rd conference of African Parliamentary Union, to be held in 2010, while the 32nd event will take place in the Republic of Burkina-Faso, in 2009.
Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos returns Monday to Luanda, after attending the 31st conference of APU, held in Kampala, Uganda, on November 29-30.
