Somalia Somalia — The Islamists attacked The Somali Immigration Office near the International airport at midnight on Tuesday.
Al-shabab claimed the attacks that lasted for about an hour .They claimed that they have inflicted casualties to the targeted places, but the immigration officers did not confirm any casualties.
The Islamists also attacked The Kulliyadda Jalle Siyad academy, abase of Burundian troops over night.
Residents confirmed they could hear gunfire around the base of Burundian peace keepers.
Last year, the AU started deploying peacekeepers in Mogadishu, but the force -- comprising Ugandan and Burundian troops -- has failed to curb the daily fighting which has killed thousands of civilians this year alone.
Burundi's Defence Minister Germain Niyoyankana said talks will take place next week with Ugandan officials on the situation in Somalia in the wake of Ethiopia's announcement. Burundi has 1,700 soldiers in Mogadishu.
