Nigeria: Contry Seeks Waste Solutions in Australia

Lagos — October First Consulting Sydney in partnership with Waste Management Association of Australia (WMAA) is set to host the very first Nigeria waste management opportunities seminar captioned "Nigeria's Waste: Your Wealth" in Sydney.

The forthcoming seminar is endorsed by Nigeria High Commission in Australia. The event is primed to present Australian companies with a ground-breaking platform to promote their waste management products and solutions to a strong delegation of Nigerian environmental management stakeholders. The Principal of OctoberFirst Consulting, Mr. Frank Aneke said the seminar is expected to generate opportunities for Australian companies to export into the biggest consumer market in Africa and Middle East.

The Nigerian delegation is expected to include representatives from 36 State Governments, private sector and other environmental stakeholders. The seminar will offer a unique forum for five Nigerian State Governments to promote investment and trade opportunities in their waste management sector to a target audience of small, medium and large Australian waste management companies with interest in Nigeria.

The premier event is scheduled for Thursday of March 26 2009 at The Sebel, Parramatta Sydney. It is expected to attract representatives from companies, trade associations, environmental analysts, consultants, media and Nigerian community in Australia.

Nigeria's Waste: Your Wealth seminar will feature speeches from environmental stakeholders, presentations and the Guest of Honour is Nigeria High Commissioner in Australia Professor Sunday Agbi.

There would be networking cocktail party after the seminar and a guided tour of landmark waste management infrastructures for Nigerian delegation after the seminar.

Aneke declared that "Nigeria Waste: Your Wealth Seminar presents a pioneer opportunity for Australian environmental management companies to network with Nigerian key decision-makers seeking environmental management solutions and products Australia could offer.".
