Nigeria: Eagles Move Into Camp

Lagos — The Home -based national football team, Super Eagles Team B immediately moved into camp on Monday afternoon as they were arriving from Accra, Ghana where they lost 2-3 to that country in the first leg, final qualifier of the African Nations Championship on Sunday.

Head Coach Okey Emordi said he wanted the players to work very hard and be together for the two weeks interval before the return leg against the Black Stars.

The Eagles fluffed great opportunity by relinquishing a two-goal lead to lose 2-3 at the Ohene Djan Stadium on Sunday, putting a question mark on their strength of character.

NFF 1st Vice President Amanze Uchegbulam and General Secretary, Bolaji Ojo-Oba gave the technical crew a piece of their minds after the inexplicable implosion, on the same night that the national U-20 Women's team, Falconets threw away a 1-2 lead to lose 2-3 to France in the World Cup quarter -finals in Chile.

However, Emordi has promised to fortify the team ahead of the return leg that has been tentatively scheduled for December 14 in Calabar. "Certainly, we need to fortify the team. We will call up a few more players who can compete favourably for shirts". The team is presently camped at the Ibro Hotel, Abuja.
