Doctor Josef Umunnakwe Onoh, youngest son of former Governor of old Anambra state, Chief C. C. Onoh has declared interest to contest for Enugu East Senatorial seat, a position that ex-governor Chimaroke Nnamani presently occupies.
In an interview with Vanguard, Josef Onoh, aged 39, says he is going to the senate to bring about the Barack Obama's type of change in Nigeria. He said that though Senator Chimaroke Nnamani was his boss, it was high time a change was enthroned in Nigeria polity.
Onoh jnr, who was a member of the Enugu State House of Assembly said: "No leader, no Governor or President is a criminal alone. If the Governor steals money it is the fault of the members of House of Assembly, if the President steals money it is the fault of members of the national assembly. When we go in to the senate, we stand to make proper legislations that will make the country move forward, that is when Mr. President will do what we ask him to do.
"If he refuses, we will impeach him. I have always been a believer of impeachment. A criminal is punished not because he stole horses but so that horses will not be stolen again. So when a President is not performing well you remove him from office.
