FOUR-Days after the Jos mayhem where hundreds of lives were reported dead, the National Chairman of the ruling party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Vincent Ogbulafor, yesterday, condemned the ethnic and religious violence that engulfed the city.
In a statement signed by his Special Assistant (Media), Edmons Chijioke Adindu and made available to journalists in Abuja, Ogbulafor implored residents of Jos to embrace peace and avoid acts of violence and lawlessness in the interest of purposeful development of the nation.
Part of the statement reads, "The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Vincent Ogbulafor, and the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Party have condemned the ethnic and religious violence that engulfed the city of Jos over the last two days.
"Also, he has commended the timely intervention of Mr. President, His Excellency, Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, GCFR, and the Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency, Jonah Jang, towards restoring peace and order in the State, thereby forestalling any misguided attempts in any part of the country. He commiserates with the families of the bereaved."
