Mpumalanga Black Aces' Kabamba Musasa suffered a fractured arm yesterday morning when the team's bus and a large coal truck were involved in a head-on collision near the town of Kriel.
Aces masseur Moses Louw and Academy coach Victor Fumo were also passengers in the bus at the time of the accident, but escaped unhurt even though their vehicle, which was on it's way to collect other players for training, is reported to be a total write-off.
The driver of the bus David Marota was treated for shock at the Kriel Private Clinic.
AmaZayoni was inundated with calls from concerned fans, who saw the wrecked bus at the side of the road.
"The accident happened around 9.30 am; it was a head-on-collision but fortunately there were no serious injuries," discloses Aces' PRO Thabo Moroape.
"The latest report that we have received is that after a scan and X-ray, it was established that Musasa has suffered a crack on his right arm and has been referred to a specialist. All the others have been discharged and are back at their normal duties."
On Saturday, Kaizer Chiefs' goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune walked away unscathed after wrecking his Nissan X-Trail and on Sunday an Ajax Cape Town supporter was killed and a number of others injured when a stolen bakkie ploughed into the bus they were travelling in.
The fans were returning to Cape Town back from East London after supporting the Urban Warriors, who made it into the Telkom Knockout Cup Final.
