Angola: Country Embassy in France Promotes Cultural Activity

Luanda An Angolan culture exhibition, comprising literary works, films and music took place last Sunday in Paris, France, in a promotion of the Angolan Embassy there, ANGOP has learnt.

For this event, the organisers had the participation of the writer Arnaldo Santos, the singers Simmons Mansini, Afrikanita, Mário Rui Silva, os Jovens do Hungo folk music group, as well as the cinematographic work by the filmmakers AntÃ'nio Ole and Maria João Ganga.

A talk on the Angolan literature as well as a round-table on archaeology and museums in Angola were also held during the activity named "Angola Mon Amour".

The activity took place at Paris Du Qual Branly Museum and aimed at showing various aspects of the Angolan culture, reinforcing thus the friendship ties between the two peoples.

Commenting on the act, the Angolan ambassador to France, Victor Lima, said "it was a way of allowing the local people to have a better knowledge of our culture, seizing also the opportunity to strengthen the friendship ties between France and Angola".

It was the second activity under the commemorations of the 33rd anniversary of national independence, marked on November 11.
